Tudors down




This building, also in Hannan Street, Kalgoorlie, made up for the lack of style in the last one.

No, it's not mock Tudor. But it does evoke memories of a certain building in the home of mock Tudor.

Specifically, it reminds me of the balcony at Lords, where the Aussie cricketers generally celebrate a hefty victory over their pastey-faced rivals - like they did today in Adelaide.

Mock the Casbah

Kalgoorlie sits on the edge of the Great Victoria Desert, 600 km inland from the world's most isolated metropolis.

All this isolation doesn't stop it mocking the Tudor though.
